REAP-Canada has received support from CIDA through their Youth Internship Program to give international development exposure to eleven young Canadians over the past six years. These interns have been able to develop their skills in the fields of sustainable agriculture and international development both in Canada and for a six month period overseas. They have been handed a variety of tasks as required by specific projects - everything from developing partnership activities, to facilitating the farmer to farmer training, to coordinating participatory rural appraisals. Needless to say, they have been integral to REAP-Canada's program development and implementation of the AEV Model in rural communities.
REAP-Canada has hosted several CIDA interns since 1999: (C) 2004 REAP-Canada |
